New Zealand Transport Agency – Blenheim, South IslandKaitiaki of the Marlborough region's transport networkBe a leader for a team focussed on delivering transport solutions in maintenance and operationsExciting and diverse role to lead a dynamic team based in BlenheimTe Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityAs Marlborough System Manager you will lead the Marlborough Roads team (a joint venture between NZTA and Marlborough District Council) to deliver a wide range of transport related activities, with main focus being on maintaining the local roads and highway networks to an appropriate level of service.Your role will be to ensure that NZTA and Marlborough District Council's transport assets are maintained in good order, that you build on existing strong partner and stakeholder relationships and motivate suppliers to deliver high quality results. You will require a strong customer focus to ensure that issues that arise are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner, and that the broad range of activities carried out by the Marlborough Roads team are communicated effectively.This is a great opportunity for you to continue a career in managing a transport system that provides key lifelines and linkages across the South Island, in a thriving region such as Marlborough. You will lead a team covering a diverse range of activities – active modes, planning & associated land use development, day-to-day maintenance and management of the transport network along with parking and ancillary works required by Council to maintain their community transport requirements.
