About the Role | Mo te Turanga
Reporting to the Chapter Lead: Fresh & Own Brand, your primary focus will be to plan, develop & manage the activation and execution of our Fresh strategy and support the way we develop our new brand expression to build growth and differentiation for our fresh (Fruit & Veg, Meat, Seafood, Bakery) products in the NZ market. Part of the Own Brand marketing team, you will focus on building trust, reputation and sales in our Fresh range. This focus on the quality and care for our fresh products is the centrepiece of our value proposition, supporting and augmenting the work across all our strategic communication pillars.
Key Priorities for the role include:
Bring our fresh product marketing strategy to life, collaborating and creating exciting customer journeys and propositions for our seasonal Fruit and Veg products.
Identify opportunities for innovation in marketing strategy and tactical execution.
Drive effective and efficient communication planning across all our product marketing activities.
Drive the execution of our roadmap for improved Fresh product trust perceptions, both tactically and strategically, supporting and motivating the team to deliver world-class brand and marketing communications.
Work collaboratively across squads & the wider business and help enable a high-performing team of marketing experts.
Set clear input and output targets in relation to product marketing programmes.
Champion data-driven and insight-led decision-making to inform strategies, identify opportunities, optimise performance and proactively mitigate challenges.
Maintain and grow strategic relationships within the business across Merchandise, Marketing and Cartology teams.
Maintain relationships with agency partners.
Support and mentor junior members of the team.
About You | Mou
This key role requires a passionate and experienced product marketer, with strong commercial understanding, a strategic and analytical mindset as well as a deep expertise in reaching audiences in a fragmented and complex media landscape, both digital and traditional. A demonstrable passion for the NZ Grower market and fresh & healthy products will be an advantage.
Your specific experience will likely reflect:
Deep understanding of customers, their behaviours and habits.
Ability to demonstrate success in brand management, able to manage multiple portfolios.
Proven ability to work in a complex, fast paced retail environment.
Exceptional collaboration, influencing and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, with particular focus on customer and business metrics, an ability to understand trends, question hypotheses and demonstrate ability to consider data in a decision making process.
Proven experience in campaign management, bringing the campaign to life across all channels within a changing media landscape.
Adaptable to change with a challenger/growth mindset. Experience working in an Agile environment is beneficial, but not essential.
