We will count on you to :
Lead the Marsh marketing portfolio that captures one or more business lines, ensuring effective delivery of marketing initiatives that help each business meet their strategic and commercial objectives.
Act as a strategic partner and advisor to senior business stakeholders.
Educate key business stakeholders on how marketing and communications works, our approach and ways of working to help pave the way for the effective delivery of the marketing plan.
Develop annual Marsh NZ marketing plan and iterate as required.
Develop briefs (or reverse briefs) in consultation with internal stakeholders and broader Pacific Marketing & Comms team.
Handle incoming Marsh marketing and communications team requests from business stakeholders in a timely manner, always responding professionally.
Lead the planning and execution of larger marketing campaigns across a range of channels.
Oversee the planning and execution of smaller-scale campaigns or initiatives, working with the Marketing coordinators or specialists.
Develop marketing and communications assets as required, and provide peer review of assets developed by colleagues.
Lead the development and uplift of competitive value propositions and client-centric messaging.
Act as a guardian of and champion for the overall Pacific and New Zealand Marketing and Communications strategy.
Regularly liaise with Pacific Marketing Business Partners to adapt global plans and campaigns where possible and find ways to collaborate more effectively.
Engage senior business stakeholders to understand commercial objectives and challenges, develop and communicate the marketing response that appropriately builds our brand over the longer term.
Demonstrate marketing ROI across both financial and non-financial dimensions.
Oversee the build of targeted lists for all email campaigns (using our preferred CRM), using data analytics and insights to ensure lists are appropriately segmented.
Oversee the sales/marketing handshake by working closely with growth leaders to identify marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and ensuring MQLs are regularly handed off to appropriate stakeholders, and tracked in our preferred CRM accordingly.
Establish performance metrics and oversee the monitoring, measurement and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns and key initiatives against objectives.
Assist with sponsorship, event and conference requirements as needed.
Oversee our work-in-progress reports, activity calendars and other important artefacts.
Oversee the planning and execution of automated journeys (using our preferred marketing automation tool), ensuring adherence to all relevant approvals processes.
Scope project requirements, including budget, resource needs and delivery timeframes, briefing other Marketing and Communications team members for support where needed.
Work closely with Pacific and Global counterparts, to ensure effective local delivery of relevant campaigns.
Manage key external vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and support of marketing campaigns.
Act as a guardian of and champion for our MarTech solutions, engaging with global and local stakeholders as required.
Oversee and help to improve the handling of client and prospect data to ensure we're adhering to relevant regulatory, legal and compliance standards.
Manage individuals, teams and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of projects and processes.
Support the day-to-day operations and improvement of the marketing function where needed.
Develop and document processes that support the transfer of knowledge across the team.
Ensure compliance with all legal and branding guidelines, including stewardship of marketing material through legal and brand approvals.
What you need to have :
You will have a minimum five (5) years' experience in the marketing field in a corporate or agency environment.
Ideally, you have a degree in marketing, communications, journalism or business/commerce (with a major in one of these areas).
Collaboration: Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise service and delivery.
Initiative: Demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and displays the ability to act both independently and as part of a team, with minimal yet appropriate reference back to manager.
Leadership: Ability to delegate effectively to team members without micro-managing and identify what motivates and inspires people to get the best outcomes.
Productivity & Efficiency: Exceptional time management, organisation and attention to detail skills.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a track record writing for different channels and audiences.
Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using and learning different marketing and communication platforms.
Innovation: Maintains an openness to experiment with alternative approaches.
Critical Thinking: Regularly analyses and evaluates the work at planning, execution and reporting stages, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making.
