We offer benefits and programs that support career development such as professional development support, exam and study assistance and global rotation opportunities which will support and nurture you with every opportunity to reach your full potential.What is in it for you?Access to leading learning and development programsProfessional environment where your career path really matters and is supported in our global organisationGreat team environment with energetic and supportive colleaguesGenuine work life balanceWe will count on you to:Lead the Marsh marketing portfolio that captures one or more business lines, ensuring effective delivery of marketing initiatives that help each business meet their strategic and commercial objectives Act as a strategic partner and advisor to senior business stakeholdersEducate key business stakeholders on how marketing and communications works, our approach and ways of working to help 'pave the way' for the effective delivery of the marketing plan Develop annual Marsh NZ marketing plan and iterate as requiredDevelop briefs (or reverse briefs) in consultation with internal stakeholders and broader Pacific Marketing & Comms teamHandle incoming Marsh marketing and communications team requests from business stakeholders in a timely manner, always responding professionallyLead the planning and execution of larger marketing campaigns across a range of channelsOversee the planning and execution of smaller-scale campaigns or initiatives, working with the Marketing coordinators or specialistsDevelop marketing and communications assets as required, and provide peer review of assets developed by colleaguesLead the development and uplift of competitive value propositions and client-centric messagingAct as a guardian of and champion for the overall Pacific and New Zealand Marketing and Communications strategyRegularly liaise with Pacific Marketing Business Partners to adapt global plans and campaigns where possible and find ways to collaborate more effectively Engage senior business stakeholders to understand commercial objectives and challenges, develop and communicate the marketing response that appropriately builds our brand over the longer-term helps to generate demand for our products and services in the short-mid termDemonstrate marketing ROI across both financial and non-financial dimensions including but not limited to actual income, opportunity total value, awareness (e.g.
share of voice, brand health, NPI), engagement (e.g.
email CTR, page views, downloads) and conversion (e.g.
MQLs, form fills, attendance, sales) to business stakeholdersOversee the build of targeted lists for all email campaigns (using our preferred CRM), using data analytics and insights to ensure lists are appropriately segmentedOversee the sales/marketing 'handshake' by working closely with growth leaders to identify marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and ensuring MQLs are regularly handed off to appropriate stakeholders, and tracked in our preferred CRM accordinglyEstablish performance metrics and oversee the monitoring, measurement and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns and key initiatives against objectives, using the data to provide actionable intelligence back to business stakeholdersAssist with sponsorship, event and conference requirements as needed (from time to time these may occur outside standard business hours)Oversee our work-in-progress reports, activity calendars and other important artefactsOversee the planning and execution of automated journeys (using our preferred marketing automation tool), ensuring adherence to all relevant approvals processesScope project requirements, including budget, resource needs and delivery timeframes, briefing other Marketing and Communications team members for support where neededWork closely with Pacific and Global counterparts, to ensure effective local delivery of relevant campaignsManage key external vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and support of marketing campaignsAct as a guardian of and champion for our MarTech solutions, engaging with global and local stakeholders as required to ensure these tools deliver exceptionally against our requirementsOversee and help to improve the handling of client and prospect data to ensure we're adhering to relevant regulatory, legal and compliance standards such as the Spam Act, our company privacy policy, etc.Manage individuals, teams and business stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of projects and processesSupport the day-to-day operations and improvement of the marketing function where needed (e.g.
running stand-up meetings, optimising systems and processes, etc.
)Develop and document processes that support the transfer of knowledge across the teamEnsure compliance with all legal and branding guidelines, including stewardship of marketing material through legal and brand approvalsWhat you need to have:You will have a minimum five (5) years' experience in the marketing field in a corporate or agency environment.
Ideally, you have a degree in marketing, communications, journalism or business / commerce (with a major in one of these areas).
Collaboration – Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise service and delivery.Initiative – Demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and displays the ability to act both independently and as part of a team, with minimal yet appropriate reference back to manager.Leadership – Ability to delegate effectively to team members without micro-managing.
Identifies and uses what motivates and inspires people to get the best outcomes.
Maintains an environment of trust, transparency and accountability whilst recognising and rewarding people at the right time.
Productivity & Efficiency – Exceptional time management, organisation and attentional to detail skills.
An ability to work under pressure when necessary and knowing how to prioritise, organise and project manage in order to manage competing timelines.
Communication – Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a track record writing for different channels and audiences.
Conveys written and verbal messages effectively to various audiences, adapting approach as appropriate.
Displays active listening skills.Technology – Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using and learning different marketing and communication platforms or website content management systems, including but not limited to Adobe Experience Manger, Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics and Pardot/Marketo.
Innovation – Maintains an openness to experiment with alternative approaches.
Is curious about the industry, our businesses, marketing and communication trends and ideas, and brings this into the work delivered in the form of new ideas.
Critical Thinking – Regularly analyses and evaluates the work at planning, execution and reporting stages, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making or solve a problem.
