Event Management (Marketing & Communications) Full time Carrington Golf Resort and Winery is set amidst 3000 acres of rolling coastal land on Northland's magnificent Karikari Peninsula, with a seemingly endless stretch of white sand beach, world-class golf course, and award-winning winery.
Our resort complex comprises over 100 rooms, restaurants, bars, winery, and conference facilities.
We are looking for a dynamic Marketing & Events Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic marketing planning, tactical marketing analysis, social media platforms, brand management and development, and graphic design software.
The Marketing & Events Manager will be primarily responsible for executing the sales strategy of Carrington Estate with the ultimate objective of maximizing revenues across all revenue-generating outlets, including accommodation, events and weddings, golf, restaurants, and bars.
The Manager must maintain awareness of the factors that influence the hospitality industry and gain a deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of the company's customers.
Additionally, this role involves coordinating marketing and promotional activities to meet guests' needs and working closely with other resort staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Devise and implement the overall sales and marketing plan for Carrington Estate and actively monitor its progress in terms of achieving KPIs, budgets, and revenues.
Liaise with the General Manager in adopting pricing strategies across the resort.
Build and develop relationships with current clients.
Analyse current markets and identify new markets and potential clients.
Organise and conduct site inspections and familiarisation trips in conjunction with the Resort team.
Create and implement promotions, both internal and external.
Manage the performance of third-party and promotional websites and liaise with providers for optimisation.
Proactively monitor the resort's profile on various social media platforms and ensure timely responses.
Manage the content of Carrington's websites.
Evaluate and drive the resort's participation in various sales channels.
Develop and agree on departmental sales plans and communicate them clearly.
Manage all promotional collateral from copyright through to design and print.
Ensure in-house promotional material is current and effective.
Devise adverts for the promotion of the Food & Beverage departments in the local market when necessary.
Manage the guest database and ensure that client details are accurate and up to date.
Track and record all client correspondence, including quotations and contracts.
Represent the resort at consumer trade fairs and other hospitality and tourism events.
Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct when dealing with clients and guests.
Submit weekly Sales & Marketing activity reports to the General Manager.
