If you're someone who is proficient with all things digital, social and e-commerce as well as traditional marketing platforms with the drive to make things happen then this is the role for you.About RoleThe primary responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator is to support the maintenance and growth of the business through strong brand presence, effective communication & promotion, and partnerships.The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Global Director of Marketing to support the in-resort and online presence of Ziptrek Queenstown. The role will involve assisting in the capture and sharing of local content across social media and online channels, maintain the in-resort presence regarding signage and brand visibility, as well as leverage local promotions and opportunities. This role will also work closely with other departments, especially Sales.Skills and Experience3+ years of related Marketing experience, along with some relevant educational background.Experience in the travel & tourism industry is an asset.Proven superior writing skills (grammar, spelling, content writing).Solid presentation skills.Experience in the coordination and managing of marketing projects in general (promotions, print, web, social media, audio-visual etc.) is an asset.Solid understanding of the Ziptrek brand and product line.Enthusiasm and energy for the role, along with a passion for representing the company/brand.Ability to adjust to changing demands and shifting priorities.Familiarity and experience working with CRM software and communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp) along with graphic design programs is a plus.Experience in managing Social Media from a business perspective, along with familiarity with Meta Business Suite, and Social Media Management Software is an asset.Capable of building strong relationships and working effectively with outside professionals & partners.Excellent time management and organisational skills; must be detail-oriented.Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, professionally and accurately both verbally and in written form.Ability to have a flexible schedule in order to accommodate events and special requests.Must have a valid driver's licence.Key ResponsibilitiesLocation MarketingWorks with the Global Director of Marketing (GDOM) and external graphic design contractors & suppliers to create relevant marketing collateral, sales product flat sheets, trade show materials, along with ad hoc design tasks to support the wider team.In working with other departments on any marketing related needs, ensures adherence to brand standards.Ensures Ziptrek collateral is updated and fully stocked at all partner locations, and replenishes regularly.Manages on-site and external distribution of brochures.Manages and facilitates Media, VIP, and Influencer opportunities that arise. Front-end vetting of those entities is also expected and discussed with GDOM when appropriate.Creates and executes partner & consumer eblasts as required, and on the established frequency.Works with and seeks out opportunities with partners for additional Ziptrek exposure.Helps facilitate local promotions with the sales team by ensuring relevant marketing aspects are handled (materials, communication, web, socials, signage, etc.)Prepares relevant content to execute latest news posts on the defined schedule and frequency.Supports GDOM on website content and updates, along with online advertising and any other web-based programs, including partner sites that feature Ziptrek.Assists in the development of primary Social Media channels by providing location particulars and content ideas for actual posts and content creation, coupled with relevant localised stories, company insight and culture. Planning, scheduling, execution and reporting is handled by global services.Assists in required aspects of the Ambassadors Program, but management and oversight is handled by global services.Coordinates and facilitates video and photo shoots for internal needs and asset creation.Identifies any professional development opportunities and records any additional training.Systems AdministrationEnsure the highest level of communication between departments.Understanding of Mailchimp.Web Access / CMS (Content Management System, e.g., Silverstripe).Canva (and/or other design software programs).Good knowledge of Google Docs or Microsoft Office Suite.Meetings & ReportingAttends fortnightly Running the Business (RTB).Attends fortnightly Sales & Marketing Meetings.Attends fortnightly 1:1 with Director of Marketing.Attends monthly 1:1 with Site Director.Provides overview and updates of relevant activity/projects in those meetings, along with reporting on the success of any campaigns/promotions.Reports on competitive intelligence in relation to other relevant activity providers.Core competencies:Our expectation is that all Staff will make decisions and exhibit behaviour that upholds the core values of Ziptrek Ecotours including safety, education, environment and sustainability, guest and employee experience, and innovation.The following are the core competencies for this position:Communication– is an effective and articulate speaker with the ability to convey a message with enthusiasm.
