Job Description The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi Creative Arts and Industries (CAI) is a respected centre for creative research, teaching and practice and offers undergraduate and postgraduate study of a wide range of creative disciplines within the Schools of Architecture and Planning, Fine Arts, and Music, the Dance Studies Programme and Design Programme. In all areas, the emphasis is on creative exploration and discovery and on interdisciplinary collaboration across the Faculty.
The Communications and Marketing team within the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries is seeking a talented Marketing Coordinator to join their busy, collaborative team and take the lead in marketing their exciting events programme.
This is a 12-month fixed term role, full-time ( hours per week )
Remuneration: $60,000 - $70,000 dependent on experience.

Key responsibilities include (not limited too):
Creating original and engaging content supporting the promotion of our many events and creative outputs. Editing and proofreading. Writing clear, accurate and persuasive copy that engages our varied audiences. Managing dissemination of content across a wide variety of platforms. Ensuring all web-based content is search engine friendly, measurable and user-centred. Keeping abreast of market changes and events promotion best practice. He korero mou | About you Are you a creative thinker who loves promoting exhibitions, concerts, performances, showcase events and artistic projects? Do you understand how to market a variety of creative activities across a range of platforms? Are you excited by both words and visuals? Working in our team will suit someone who is creative, accurate, and flexible, with a good sense of humour and a terrific work ethic. You will be able to work with a variety of stakeholders while adhering to our style guidelines to deliver user-centred content promoting the work of our staff, students and graduates.
A Bachelors degree or relevant tertiary qualification Graphic design experience Experience with using social media as part of a content and/or promotional strategy including copywriting, and web content coordination, preferably in the creative industries sector. Experience with art direction preferably in the creative industries sector. Familiarity with publishing web content via Content Management Systems. Excellent communication skills written and verbal Proven success in writing professional web copy. Be highly organized, proactive, and able to self-manage. You will be calm under pressure with the ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects Be a team player, with strong relationship and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
