Job Description The opportunity: As the Market Engagement Specialist, you will play a vital role in nurturing existing and growing new school and community networks for all of Skills Group's Specialty Trades.
You will assist in the development of innovative sales ideas, strategies, and business plans that generate revenue through enrolments in your region.
Your key responsibilities: Establish and develop strong relationships with schools to create a pipeline of pre-trade and apprentice enrolments.
Support the establishment of Skills' Specialty Trades schools as the training provider in your region for all trades with apprenticeship programmes.
Collaborate with regional teams to drive growth with key stakeholder groups, including schools and community organisations.
Build foundational knowledge of the market segments served.
Support the achievement of monthly and annual enrolment, revenue, and funding targets.
Attend priority regional and national events, such as careers expos, school events, and trade expos, to drive brand awareness and enrolments.
Provide support to the Business Development Manager: Specialty Trades with business development activities targeting new businesses.
Assist in organising and conducting interviews for prospective pre-trade applicants.
Verify that pre-trade applicants have submitted all necessary documentation before courses begin.
Support the establishment of Skills Group as a provider for Trades Academies in your region.
Monitor industry and market trends, including competition, to inform school engagement activities.
Maintain accurate product knowledge and communicate our unique selling proposition clearly.
Identify local market business opportunities and collaborate within Skills Group to realise them.
Maintain records and reporting.
Desired Skills and Experience Your skills & qualifications: Degree or qualifications relevant to Sales/Marketing/Business.
Experience in business development, sales, and/or commercial experience is desirable.
Experience within the PTE or Trades environment (not necessarily in a sales context).
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
An open, positive, and engaging nature, comfortable conversing with young adults and business owners alike.
