To be successful in your application these are a MUST:

Qualified Marine Systems Engineer / Diesel Mechanic
At least 3 years experience in the NZ marine industry *Auckland based
Full, clean NZ drivers license (able to drive manual transmission)
Experience working on inboard diesel powered vessels from 30 to 100ft.
Great customer service skills
Self motivated
Organised, clean and tidy

And these are a BONUS:

Hydraulic systems knowledge/experience
12/24v electrical knowledge/experience

We are Proactive Marine, a relatively young company going from strength to strength because of our desire to give the best customer experience in the industry and our ability to deliver on our mission of safer boating through better maintenance. Because of this, our workload is growing rapidly and we need to expand our team.
We offer a full range of maintenance and repair services for mechanical systems on yachts and launches ranging from 30 to 100ft. On any given week we could be working on engines, winches, gearboxes, steering systems and drivelines whether doing routine maintenance or a full repower/refit project.
Our workshop is in New Lynn which is home base, but as the work is mobile and we travel to most Auckland marinas, it is not necessary to travel to the workshop everyday and we can usually tailor the workload to suit your location.
As a small team, it is vitally important to us that the successful candidate fits in like a friend at a BBQ. We are looking for someone who can cement themselves in to the foundations of our business as we build a team around them. The potential for growth here is endless.
