Marine Surveyor

Job DescriptionThis role is for a Marine Surveyor based in Nelson, however, can be expected to carry out surveys all over NZ and the Pacific Islands. Duties & Responsibilities:Draft Surveys of dry bulk vessels.Bunker/Discharge Surveys for Liquid Cargo (Oil, Refined Fuels, LPG, Bitumen and other chemicals)Vessel On and Off hire SurveysVessel's Crane SurveysVessel's Safety InspectionsVarious other marine surveysQualificationsEssential Requirements for the role:Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa. A minimum of 5 years sea faring experience and/or 12 months as a Marine Surveyor.IFIA Certification.Valid NZ Driver's Licence or ability to obtain.Required Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office - MS Word, MS Excel and MS OutlookAbility to perform physically demanding work activities working at height, confined space etc.
