Marine Surveyor - Casual

Job DescriptionThis role is for a Marine Surveyor to work on a casual basis, preferably you will be based in Christchurch, however, you may be required to carry out surveys across the South Island. This is a casual role which will require evening/night and weekend work. Duties & Responsibilities:Draft Surveys of dry bulk vessels.Bunker/Discharge Surveys for Liquid Cargo (Oil, Refined Fuels, LPG, Bitumen and other chemicals)Vessel On and Off hire SurveysVessel's Crane SurveysVessel's Safety InspectionsVarious other marine surveysQualificationsApplicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa. A minimum of 5 years sea faring experience and/or 12 months as a Marine Surveyor.Valid NZ Driver's Licence or ability to obtain.Required Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office - MS Word, MS Excel and MS OutlookAbility to perform physically demanding work activities working at height, confined space etc.
