Must have:
Qualifications: STCW Marine Engineers Class 1-5 or equivalent along with strong technical ability, including that of an EXCEL Intermediate to Advanced user (PIVOT Tables, Charts, Formulas, and MACROs).
Good reporting writing skills; clear and concise in your instructions both verbally and written. Good grammar is essential to ensure accurate execution and interpretation of plans and information.
A team player who works to achieve positive relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and customers, making a positive contribution to the company's objectives, influencing others to be the best they can be.
Previous leadership experience, including training, mentoring, and recruitment.
A background in quality control and assurance.
The Business:
The company operates Shipwright services; 90m slipway for vessels up to 1800T, along with a second 40-tonne slipway for smaller vessels; performing mechanical inspections and repairs.
Located in a sheltered deepwater port and one of N.Z's most experienced refit and repair specialists.
The Company offers full class surveys, new builds, and repair services for both commercial and pleasure vessels along with other marine maintenance requirements.
Hours of work are: 7am – 4pm Monday - Friday along with a base salary commensurable with the role's qualifications and experience, including a company vehicle.
