Our client is a key player in the building materials industry, delivering high-quality sand and associated products to customers across New Zealand. Currently operating a fleet of 3x vessels ranging in size from 48m – 58m.
The Role
As a Marine Engineer, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the performance of the vessels. Key responsibilities include:
Managing and implementing maintenance schedules to keep vessels reliable and operational.
Performing regular checks, servicing machinery, and undertaking preventative maintenance.
Collaborating with the Head Marine Engineer to plan engineering projects and optimize operations.
Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance, including conducting risk assessments.
Training engineering crew to enhance their capability in maintenance systems and safety practices.

What We're Looking For
Marine Engineer with a MEC 6 CoC or higher, or a current ringfenced ILM/CLM certificate holder.
Experience in marine or shore-based repairs and maintenance.
Knowledge of Maritime Operating Safety Systems and compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.
Proven ability to develop maintenance plans, manage schedules, and enhance processes.
