The Opportunity
Your skills and expertise could make a real difference in improving health outcomes for Maori whanau. Join our ground-breaking NEW cultural multidisciplinary team of clinicians (Ringa Atawhai), who are dedicated to support mokopuna and whanau admitted to Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Starship.
Working amongst a team of dedicated Maori clinicians and Tangata Tiriti clinicians, there will be opportunities for leadership and professional development. As part of Ringa Atawhai, you will become part of TamaAriki Ora (Starship Maori Health) and will enjoy the added benefits of whanaungatanga, training and being part of a movement to protect the integrity of whakapapa and uphold the divinity of our mokopuna.
Important Skills
Knowledge of Te Ao Maori
Advanced clinical skills, risk management and assessment
Ability to enact complex care delivery and coordination for mokopuna and whanau
Committed to increasing the capability and capacity of PICU staff and teams
Demonstrates critical analysis with ongoing self-reflection and self-awareness
Understands and supports the dismantling of policies, procedures and practices that cause inequity
Can consistently communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
Understands the application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
