Maori Data Governance Lead at Health Quality & Safety Commission, WellingtonPermanent | Full Time | Wellington Who we are: At Te Tahu Hauora Health Quality and Safety Commission (Te Tahu Hauora) we work with clinicians, providers and consumers to improve health and disability support services across Aotearoa New Zealand.

The role: This role is designed to facilitate, maintain and embed Maori Data Governance principles across Tahu Hauora, HQSC workstreams, ensuring that data practices honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi, advance equity, and align with Maori data sovereignty aspirations.
You will lead efforts to support implementation of Maori Data Governance principles across the government sector and drive systemic change that prioritises tikanga Maori and improves health outcomes for Maori whanau, hapu, and iwi.
Additionally, you will provide advice and guidance on the integration of Maori Data Governance across the organisation and support other initiatives as required by the organisation or team
About you: This role requires you to have:
Expertise in Maori health and data governance principles.Proven experience working with Maori communities, embedding cultural frameworks and leading system-level changes in data governance and/or health equity.A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in healthcare and governance is essential.A strong understanding of best practice of Maori data collection, collation and analysis.How to apply: This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to improving health outcomes and addressing health inequities in Aotearoa New Zealand.
