About the roleThe Maori and Pasifika Trade Training (MPTT) Manager will understand and share the vision of the Toia Mai Excellence Framework with staff, akonga, Te Tiriti partners and community. The MPTT Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, design, coordination, implementation of MPTT workplan and activities. Although the MPTT Manager will primarily advocate for the needs of Maori and Pasifika learners, Te Tiriti partners and Community they also support others to understand how the MPTT equity and Te Tiriti initaitives and outcomes benefit all of our akonga. We would like to talk with you if you have demonstrated experience in building highly effective (internal and external) relationships, have existing relationships in MPTT industry related fields, are an excellent communicator, have managed high performing teams, understand TEC funding requirements and have demonstrated knowledge in the application of tikanga.You will work with executive staff, corporate units, faculty and support staff, external stakeholders and te tiriti partners to improve outcomes for Maori and Pacific as well as industry. We are looking for a person who: · Design, deliver and implement MPTT startegy and workplans. · Listens and collaborates to drive change. · Is a capable planner, monitors and reports on progress.· Can show our stakeholders and partners how we are delivering for them.· Will enhance Wintec's strategic relationships with MPTT related industries and professions.· Will enhance Wintec's strategic relationships with iwi, hapu, whanau, Maori and Pacific communities.· Has experience in tertiary education and understands that akonga are at the heart of what we are here to do.· Is up for a challenge and thrives on working on new and collective solutions.· Can confidently engage in the facilitation of tikanga and kawa.In return, Wintec|Te Pukenga offers · Workplace flexibility· Professional development· An innovative environment where you are encouraged to challenge the status quo· Opportunities to deliver on significant and meaningful challenges
