Embark on an exhilarating journey as a key member of our global education team!Korero mo te turanga - About the roleTe Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Manutaki - Director, International to head up the Te Kahupapa - Wellington International team. The role will be responsible for leading the University's recruitment, application, and conversion activities for International students, and for meeting the University's recruitment targets. This portfolio also covers Global engagement and partnerships, along with Internationalisation programmes.This role is based in the vibrant city of Wellington, New Zealand and requires international travel.Key responsibilities:Lead and Motivate the Team: Ensure high levels of engagement and collaboration, fostering a vibrant innovation culture and maintaining high service standards.Drive International Student Recruitment: Attract quality international students to the University through various channels, including agents, articulation partners, government funding agencies, schools, and offshore delivery partners.Build and Maintain Strong Working Relationships: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align university policies, processes, and systems to best support recruitment and student experience goals for international students.Advise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) (DVCS): Identify potential or actual issues and risks and promote solutions or mitigations to the DVCS.O pumanawa - About youYou will be an established and experienced leader with a strong reputation for International student recruitment and innovation in this field. You will have extensive experience in managing an international student recruitment function and be focused on achieving strategic and operational targets.This role demands excellent people skills, the ability to influence change and manage conflict, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills.
