About the Role:The Community Ministries Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership to our Community Ministries Centre in South Auckland, that fits to the context, mission and frameworks of The Salvation Army.
The Manager fosters and enables the delivery of services that effectively and sensitively responds to the needs of people who have experienced trauma, loss and hardship.Our Manukau CM Centre is our largest centre in the country and provides a wide range of services including food, welfare services, financial mentoring, social work, transitional housing and more.
What will your responsibilities be:Providing integrated ministry to the Manukau Community.Manages the staff at the Community Ministries Centre.Oversees effective service and ministry delivery; centre maintenance; staff development; plans and the centre budget.Responsible for all day-to-day operations of Community Ministries programmes.Duties in line with the positive outcomes of the role.Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:Experience in management and excellent people management skills.Have knowledge and experience in the social services sector.An ability to work well with a range of stakeholders to foster collaborative solutions.Strong communication skills.Passionate about Salvation Army values and ideally has a heart for implementing these within a South Auckland context.An ability to manage budgets, funding and contract delivery.Our offer to you:An additional 5 days leaveFree confidential counselling services to support your wellbeingSubsidised flu vaccinationsCompetitive renumeration Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society' This role is permanent/full time and hours worked will be 37.5 per week.The starting salary for this role will fall between $85,000 and $103,000This role may close early due to an increased number of applications - apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
