The Role:
McCain Foods in Timaru is searching for a dedicated Manufacturing Trainer to join our team. As a leading producer of frozen potato fries and chips, we need a skilled trainer to help develop our workforce, ensuring high standards in safety and production efficiency.
You will be working Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (40 hours per week), reporting to our Training Lead, and working closely with our packing and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on training and upskilling to production staff, particularly in the processing area.
Review and update Work Instructions/Standard Works to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Organise and maintain accurate training records and competency management systems.
Collaborate with the Training Lead to schedule training sessions and ensure all employees are trained in line with McCain Foods' safety standards.
Maintain a flexible approach to working hours, with some work required outside the standard schedule when necessary.
About you:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
Effective communicator with the ability to clearly explain complex manufacturing processes.
Mechanically minded, with experience in manufacturing operations.
Experience with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word) is an advantage.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
