A change in the business dictates the need for a manager to take executive control of the biggest site in New Zealand thus we have been retained to identify a highly driven, successful operations-oriented manager who has controlled the manufacturing and associated activities of a substantial business.
The company manufactures high-volume low-cost products that are delivered against Just In Time programs; quality, service and price are all equally important in this highly competitive industry segment.
The ideal person would have developed into a senior executive in a company where, on your way to Manufacturing Management, you have controlled the strategic and tactical activities of a successful team.
In this new position your team consists of circa 130 people who are involved in manufacturing, planning, logistics, safety and maintenance and engineering.
The position will appeal to a modern manager who is creative, strategic by nature and tactical by market demands; what you might term a "fresh thinker" always looking to find alternative approaches to increasing the efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of a business.
This is a senior executive position with control of manufacturing revenue that is in excess of $70 million.
People are the main assets the company has thus the training, development, safety and management of a large blue- and white-collar team is paramount.
Note you must have managed a large manufacturing operation and words and phrases such as, Lean, Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, Best Practice, ISO etc must be a part of your everyday language at work.
Any formal education you have completed including Management, Competitive Manufacturing, etc would be well regarded as would exposure to SAP.
