Manager - Wellington - Channels Tertiary Education CommissionChannels Tertiary Education Commission Wellington2 days agoDescriptionThe Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) is a small Crown agency responsible for investing over $3 billion annually in tertiary education and providing a publicly available careers information service.Role Overview: The Manager - Products & Channels will facilitate connections between schools, employers, and tertiary education organisations to prepare students for employment and further education.This is a fixed-term role for at least 12 months through to January 2026 to cover parental leave. It is a strictly Wellington-based position.Careers & Investment Design Directorate: This directorate develops strategies, initiatives, and policies to enable the organisation to meet its goals in careers and investment.Responsibilities:Manage TEC's Content teams and product owner roles, focusing on designing and developing all TEC channels.Collaborate with the Engagement Group to ensure brand guidelines, key messages, and audience insights are applied consistently across channel design and content creation.Represent as Business Owner to different governance groups, communicating concepts and options for timely approvals.Enable resource/skill sharing, build a centre of expertise with consistent processes, and create a long-range plan for Tahatu Career Navigator and other TEC channels.Requirements:Leadership experience in product or web channel management.Able to develop strong working relationships within and across different Directorates.Strong understanding of web development and how web channels are promoted and used by different audiences.Experience in creating a future roadmap of continuous development for Tahatu Career Navigator and Inspiring the Future.Experience in leading teams and developing a high-performance team culture.Benefits: Three additional TEC leave days, flexible working options, wellness programme, ability to purchase extra leave, reduced premiums through Health Insurance Group Scheme, career development opportunities, and internal job prospects.
