The Manager Visits and Ceremonials Office (VCO) provides strategic leadership, oversight, and management of VCO functions to ensure service delivery excellence to customers and the successful delivery of a portfolio of Official Visits and Events.
A key focus of this role is the strategic development and maintenance of partnerships with public sector agencies to ensure joint success of the visits and events annual programme.
The Manager VCO needs to be able to deliver strategic leadership, team management, and regular strategic advice and support to the Minister Responsible for Ministerial Services, to the General Manager, and to Ministerial Services teams.
Leading an overall VCO team of up to twenty staff, the role of Manager VCO has multiple opportunities to engage with senior leaders, mana whenua representatives, and to work directly in supporting international Guests of Government.
To be successful in the role, you must be agile, risk aware, politically savvy, and have a strong customer delivery focus.
