What will a day in this role look like?
Leading and managing the Wellington Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team of 30+ engineers, designers, and project managers.
Developing and executing the T&D strategy for Wellington; representing the team in senior leadership discussions and overseeing the financial performance and delivery outcomes of the T&D business.
Fostering a high performing, engaged environment whilst ensuring team wellbeing and health and safety in line with AECOM requirements.
Driving team growth through recruitment, effective collaboration with offshore design teams, and workload management.
Supporting business development; building client relationships, identifying opportunities, and overseeing bids.
What are we looking for from you?

Degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
15+ years' relevant experience, ideally within a consulting environment.
Solid understanding of substation design principles, sound judgement and demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and situations.
An effective and engaged people leader with the tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results.
Self-motivated, passionate and committed to thinking outside the box, constantly striving for continuous improvement.
Demonstrated commercial and strategic acumen.
