This is a key leadership role in the Strategy, Policy and Ministerial function that is responsible for supporting our strategic direction and delivering on our policy work programme. You will work closely with the Head of Strategy, Policy and Ministerials and other policy Managers.
Toitu Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand has an expanding and exciting policy programme that provides an opportunity to contribute to real change for Aotearoa New Zealand.
We are currently working on a range of diverse policy matters including a review of the Public Works Act, afforestation opportunities on Crown land, fees and funding reviews across operational work areas, and supporting a review of the Overseas Investment Act. We also lead on strategy including strategic intentions, long-term insights briefings, and provide strategic support on budget.
We are responsible for 15 pieces of legislation including the Public Works Act, the Crown Pastoral Land Act, the Land Transfer Act, and the Ratings Valuation Act. LINZ is also the regulator of the Overseas Investment regime.
As a Manager - Strategy and Policy, you are accountable for leading the people and the work across your areas of responsibility. You ensure that there are clear priorities and deliverables aligned to our Kaupapa and work programme and empower your people to manage the delivery of their work in line with that direction.
You will partner across the organisation and collaborate with agencies and ministers to understand current and future work and allocate resources to achieve this.
The salary range for this role, depending on experience, is $175,000 - $195,000 per annum, full-time.
