Job Summary:
We are seeking a sharp and proactive Manager/Sr. Manager - Legal who will serve as the single point of contact for all legal matters within the organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong legal acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of handling complex legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions (M&As), policy reviews, and intellectual property (IP) protection.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as the primary legal advisor and SPOC for all legal matters, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
Oversee and manage legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&As), including due diligence, contract negotiation, and integration processes.
Review and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
Provide strategic legal guidance on intellectual property (IP) matters, including protection, enforcement, and licensing of IP rights.
Develop and implement legal strategies to minimize risk and support business objectives.
Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed for specialized matters.
Lead negotiations and drafting of key contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to proactively manage potential risks and opportunities.
Advise the CEO and senior management team on legal implications of business decisions and strategies.
Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters, including compliance, ethics, and risk management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external legal counsel.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders.
Proactive and results-driven approach, with a focus on achieving business objectives.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
Law graduate from a National Law University (NLU) or a recognized equivalent.
7-10 years of experience in a legal role, with experience in a corporate environment.
Extensive experience in handling mergers and acquisitions (M&As), policy reviews, and intellectual property (IP) protection.
Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
