The Far North District Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager - Organisation Development to join our Chief Executive Office. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the team delivering a number of transformative projects, like developing a Diversity Equity & Inclusion programme, talent management processes and process change management framework.This pivotal role works closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure the effective delivery of our organisational development strategies.Te Wero – The ChallengeAs the Manager - Organisation Development, you will consult with various business units on strategic initiatives to understand business outcomes, assess organisational impacts, and define the people outcomes required. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving cultural change across key focus areas such as leadership, engagement, change and improvement programmes.In this role, you will manage the delivery of improvement required for the organisation to achieve a step change in the way in which it operates and performs through its people. You will provide strong leadership and effective management to a portfolio of cross-functional high-value development projects, aiming to achieve improved outcomes for our end-users.Key Responsibilities:Lead the implementation, monitoring and review of an organisational strategy.Manage the delivery of leadership, engagement, change and improvement programmes.Lead and manage a team of skilled individuals, including a Change Specialist, Business Partner – Organisational Development, Process Design Specialist and Learning & Development Advisor.We're looking for someone who:Has a degree and strong HR experience in a large, complex organisation.Brings at least 5 years in a Senior HR role or experience in complex transformation/change programs.Has led teams in driving transformational change within business units.Demonstrates effective leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.Can lead business transformation and cultural change, implementing new processes and methodologies.Is skilled in negotiating complex people scenarios.Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and excels at problem-solving.Builds strong, long-term customer relationships.Communicates exceptionally well, both verbally and non-verbally.Excels in presentations and public speaking.Possesses strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and cooperation.Is well-organised, able to prioritise, and meets deadlines.Shows enthusiasm and commitment to excellent customer service.Relates well to a diverse range of people, both internally and externally.Has high-level relationship development, management, and customer facilitation skills.Is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our community.Embraces a progressive mindset focused on continual improvement.Far North District Council are proud of our diverse workforce and are committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
