This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.The Medical Staffing Unit at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Manager to join our team based at Tauranga Hospital.The Medical Staffing Unit is responsible for 240 Resident Medical Officers (RMO's) working across our two hospital sites (Tauranga & Whakatane). Your role is accountable for the leadership and oversight of the recruitment, deployment, support and coordination of the RMO workforce.You will be managing a team of six who are based across both the Tauranga and Whakatane Hospital sites. We are looking for someone who can develop and foster a positive and healthy organisational culture through strong leadership.Some of your duties will include:Workforce Planning and Support which includes understanding complexities of the RMO workforce.Review and contribute to strategic, service and business plansProviding leadership and oversight of the coordination of multiple 24/7 rostersProvide advice and support regarding RMO run allocations.Effective nurturing and management of relationships with key external stakeholders including relevant union partners.To be successful in this role you will need:A minimum of 3 years of management experienceBachelor's Degree in management, HR business or related field or suitable relevant experienceExperience with workforce planning and schedulingWell-developed planning & organisational skills, including an ability to clarify work objectives, prioritise workload and meet competing priorities and deadlines.Experience in the health sector would be preferred, RMO workforce experience an advantageWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
