Manager, Marketing, Engagement and Communications This role is a full-time, permanent position that can be based in Wellington or Christchurch.
OSPRI is an integrated national disease management agency and a proud part of New Zealand's agricultural sector.
We play an important part in protecting New Zealand's biosecurity system.
OSPRI currently manages three major national programmes: TBfree (directed at the eradication of bovine tuberculosis), M.bovis (OSPRI manages the Mycoplasma bovis programme under a government industry agreement) and NAIT (National Animal Identification and Tracing System).
Korero mo te turanga - About the role: The Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Manager is a highly valued senior role at OSPRI.
This role is responsible for implementing the national communications and engagement strategy.
Leading a team of five, you will be at the forefront of delivering the National campaign and have the chance to work within a culture of high performance that consistently delivers results.
Your leadership and strategic direction will shape and influence the business and play a significant role in how we engage with both internal and external stakeholders and customers.
To enable all of this to happen seamlessly, this role will work in close collaboration with the National Manager, Customer and Collaboration.
In this pivotal role, you will drive the success of our regional programme through strategic leadership.
Your focus will be on managing the risks and opportunities within the programme of work, and proactively identifying challenges, developing strategies, and finding opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
By leveraging data and insights, you will uncover emerging trends, guide decisions, and drive continuous improvement.

In addition, the successful candidate will have: Minimum 10+ years as a Marketing, Engagement and Communications practitioner.
Communications, marketing or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
Experienced People Leader.
Experience working with a regional footprint to achieve strategic outcomes.
Strong written and verbal skills, including persuasive presentation skills.
Ability to create and develop innovative communications.
Proven experience in developing and implementing communications strategies and managing multiple brands.
Proven experience in media management and running campaigns.
Proven experience in managing vendors in communications and marketing.
Proven leadership experience in achieving strategic goals and objectives in a complex environment, especially where high levels of customer focus and stakeholder engagement are involved.
