About the role
In response to recent changes to our specialist Investigations Function at the Civil Aviation Authority, we have created a range of new and innovative roles. The Manager Investigations is a newly created critical role to lead a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for delivering comprehensive and impartial aviation safety and security investigations to inform a broad range of outcomes in line with the CAA regulatory decision-making policy.
The key to success in this role lies in combining a solid understanding of professional regulatory practice with the management and leadership skills to guide, motivate, build, and foster an inclusive, engaged and high performing team.
The salary band for the Manager of Investigations goes from $160,911 to $224,304 with the mid-range being $190,277. Starting will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
What You'll Bring
We are seeking experienced leaders and managers with exceptional communication skills and a wealth of knowledge and demonstrated experience in investigation techniques and methods.
You will need to demonstrate:
Robust and impactful relationships within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
Experience implementing operational models that are tailored to requirements and comply with regulatory standards.
Extensive experience in fostering and leading diverse and inclusive teams, cultivating a safe, positive, and thriving workplace environment.
Experience in identifying and managing risks in a challenging environment.
