We have a newly created role for a Strategic Vegetation Manager which would suit a delivery focused individual with an eye for the future who is able to develop and lead a progressive vegetation management strategy with a small team.
Key Responsibilities will include: Strategy & Risk Management: Develop and implement long-term vegetation management strategies that reduce risks and enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration: Partner with internal and external teams to integrate vegetation management into broader infrastructure planning.
Compliance & Policies: Establish policies to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with landowners, regulators, and community groups to support vegetation initiatives.
Data-Driven Solutions: Leverage technology tools like LiDAR and satellite imagery to monitor vegetation and drive innovation.
Budget & Contractor Management: Oversee budgets and contractors to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
Will be proficient in strategic planning, project delivery and stakeholder management as well as: A confident, self-motivated leader with a track record of being able to bring teams and stakeholders along on the journey; Tech-savvy, with a strong focus on innovation and process improvement; Skilled communicator and negotiator, able to "translate" the vision to others and balance multiple priorities; Detail-oriented and committed to operational excellence.
