Our values of Dignity, Wellbeing, Equity and Respect underpin everything we do, and we strive to support older people to live longer, stronger, and independently.We offer a range of services in the community that enable our older people to make choices about their own future, empower them to stay safe and well, and provide opportunities for continuous learning.About The Role:As the Manager of Age Concern Horowhenua, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the organisation. You will be a budget, accounts, and grant application superstar with a keen eye for innovation and ideas for increasing funding streams and growing the organisation. You will also bring sound knowledge of Payroll and Human Resources, with experience using Xero an advantage.You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety within the workplace as the site's Health and Safety Warden and be able to provide ongoing support to staff and volunteers to promote safe practices in all work that we do.A creative flare would be favourable, as you are responsible for the creation of Age Concern Horowhenua's quarterly magazines, monthly newsletters, and promotional material for programmes. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of the Age Concern Horowhenua website, ensuring that events, programmes, and service information are kept up to date.An ability to make strong professional relationships within the community, with our clients, whanau and other professionals working within our industry is a must and a clear understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working with diverse cultures within our community is essential.So, if you are looking for a challenge and an ever changing work environment surrounded by a positive team that are all passionate about what they do, please apply!About You:You will be a flexible worker who is willing to go above and beyond for the older people of our community. A compassionate and empathetic nature is a must to build relationships with our people in the community and you will have a creative and innovative flare with great ideas to build the funding stream, improve programmes and continue to grow the organisation!You will be able to provide strong leadership for both the team and volunteers, and work alongside them to create positive outcomes for our older people. A background in Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and HR is necessary in this role, with experience using Xero preferable.At Age Concern Horowhenua we are a close knit team, who are all passionate about what we do. Teamwork is at the centre of everything we achieve together, and we are proud to work for an organisation that supports our older community. Age Concern Horowhenua has come so far in the past few years, and we are looking for a new Manager who can take it further.Appointment will be made by the first week in December.
