Reporting to the Board, the General Manager will lead the development and delivery of innovative programmes to meet the objectives of the DBA Strategic Plan including:Position Devonport as a premier destination for culture, tourism, arts, retail and business, ensuring its long-term economic sustainability and vibrancy.Deliver initiatives to grow the Devonport Business Improvement District and increase member-business sales volumes.You will be the key point of contact for our members, delivering real value to them through practical, results-driven strategies.This role requires a results-driven, creative professional with a strong background in business development, stakeholder engagement, media and marketing.The Role:This is a contractor role.30 - 35 hours per week (flexible).Hybrid/remote working options possible.About you:Proven experience in marketing, promotions, or a similar operational role, ideally within a retail, tourism, or business environment.Strong hands-on understanding, and ideally experience, with social media marketing, content creation, and online customer engagement strategies.Capable of using digital tools and platforms including Microsoft Office, Squarespace, Facebook, Instagram, Mail Chimp and Survey Monkey.Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
