Manager Finance Buller District Council, Westport Full-time, Permanent position Buller District Council is seeking an adept Manager Finance to lead the organisations budget preparation, forecasting and reporting processes. This position will report directly to the Group Manager Corporate Services and will be accountable for the strategic goals and performance objectives for Finance. Key Responsibilities: Management of the organisations financial delivery components, including taxation, audit and compliance, creditors, debtors and payroll functions. Provide leadership and management to the financial team that enables a positive team environment Foster, develop and promote a culture of high performance Develop long term financial strategies and plans that align with council's strategic direction Ensure the integrity of the finance systems are maintained to a high level Giving timely and professional advice and support organisation-wide as well as giving accurate and up to date advice on legislation and accounting standard change impacts for financial reporting practises About You: A qualified, chartered accountant with a current membership to CAANZ A motivating leader, who demonstrates professionalism, honesty and integrity You understand the legal and statutory obligations of local government and the political structures that council operates under Be future focused and able to look beyond numbers to implement business improvement initiatives A high level of financial literacy You are able to demonstrate resilience and exemplary staff leadership experience Why Join Us?
