About the role
This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of communications at the Electricity Authority. As Manager - Communications, you'll lead a high-performing team dedicated to providing strategic communications leadership and delivering engaging, impactful messaging to a diverse range of audiences. From consumers to industry participants and government agencies, you'll play a critical role in building trust and confidence in the Authority's work.
Reporting to the General Manager - Communications, Engagement and Data, you'll lead the development of strategies that align with our objectives and support the Authority in achieving its vision. You'll collaborate closely with other leaders across the organisation, including the Manager - Engagement and the Manager - Data, ensuring an integrated and informed approach to communications.
Are you someone with the following?
Proven leadership experience, with at least five years of mentoring, coaching and supporting communications teams to achieve tangible results
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
A track record of planning, leading and delivering strategic, integrated communications programmes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A commercially savvy and collaborative mindset and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Experience leading through change and an ability to work in an agile environment
Experience and/or knowledge of the energy sector, regulation or similarly complex sectors (advantageous)
