As the Manager of Super Liquor Collingwood, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including staff management, inventory control, sales, customer service, and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability while maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for both customers and employees. 
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Liquor Store Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our store.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering a super shopping experience for our customers while monitoring and upholding the store's legal obligations and conditions of its licence and the requirements of the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.Good understanding of NZ Health & Safety laws.Conduct regular inventory audits and manage stock rotation.Ensure accurate pricing and product displays.Creative use of retail merchandise strategies to execute store displays, promotional displays and most importantly generate sales.Operations management, negotiating with suppliers, ordering, and pricing.Manage product range and stock levels.Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy.Oversee inventory levels and order products as needed.Motivate and develop team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.Marketing management, store advertising and promotions.Oversee all aspects of rostering, cash handling, budgeting, and health & safety.Store standards including maintenance, cleanliness, and hygiene protocols.People leadership – recruitment, training, and development.Qualifications: Proven experience as a retail manager, preferably in the liquor industry.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Knowledge of inventory management and sales strategies.Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems.General Managers certificate.What We Offer: Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.A collaborative and supportive work environment.The Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT) is a community owned organisation that operates 23 high quality hospitality businesses including hotels, motels, bars and restaurants through to retail bottle stores as well as two distribution centres.
