Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: This position plays a key role in the development and execution of the adidas Brand Communications strategy in New Zealand. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Communications, PR & Media, the Manager, Brand Communications (NZ) will drive the 'always on' calendar for key brand and category activation moments in the local market. The role will support and drive a range of marketing activities in New Zealand, including Brand Communications, PR, events, social, partner activation and retail (DTC). The role will be responsible for leading the local PR strategy, ensuring an always-on media approach and managing the local PR agency. Key Responsibilities: Develop the local PR strategy for the New Zealand market, including building the agency relationship to manage always on PR and media storytelling. Work cross-functionally with the Brand Communications team to manage and execute key campaigns and category moments in New Zealand, across Rugby, Outdoor, Originals, Running, Football and Sportswear/Training. Work cross-functionally with Brand Communications, Digital and Sports Marketing teams to support partner activation and publishing for owned and partner social channels. Support paid media activation in New Zealand, including asset development and execution. Support retail (DTC) activation objectives including events and store launch plans. Manage MAEX budget efficiently, following internal protocol. Ensure brand guidelines are upheld across all executions of the brand activation. Key Relationships: adidas Pacific Brand Activation (Sports Marketing, Digital Marketing & Omni-Channel Marketing). adidas Pacific wider business functions (HR, Customer Service, Finance, eCommerce, Retail). Agencies (PR, Brand Communications / Creative, Media). adidas Brand Partners (Clubs and Athletes). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: PR experience, prior experience in PR / local PR knowledge beneficial. Knowledge of the paid media landscape. Industry awareness and market knowledge. Rounded marketing experience essential across the marketing mix (Brand, Digital, PR, etc.). Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate in a cross-functional team. Passion for sports. KPI's: Proven effective utilization of MAEX (Marketing Budget). PR KPIs (Media Reach and Brand Buzz). Brand Media KPIs (Unaided Awareness, Reach). Successful development and execution of New Zealand brand communications strategy. Requisite Education and Experience/Qualifications: University degree in business / marketing / communications. 5-8 years of relevant work experience. Brand Marketing knowledge, Consumer / PR activation experience and event management. What's on offer?
