Manager / Assistant Senior Manager (Research & Innovation)

Job DescriptionWork closely with the Deputy Dean (Research & Innovation) in corporate development for the formulation of strategies and action plans, which include building the College of Design and Engineering (CDE)'s research profile, seeking opportunities for research partnerships, developing the capacity for bidding research funding, and raising the profile of the excellent research CDE does and informing about the scope of its research to attract collaboration and funding.Oversee the planning, coordination and operations of the research & industry office, development office and alumni office in the CDE deanery.
Ensure the execution and outcome of initiatives and activities carried out by the teams in these offices.Serve as point of contact for data and information requests relating to Research & Innovation Cluster; respond to data and information requests from internal departments and external agencies with inputs from Vice Deans and Assistant Deans.Package research data and findings for public consumption through direct communication channels and social media.Build good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and report project updates and outcomes to them in a timely fashion.Initiate and facilitate meetings in-person as well as virtually for relevant internal stakeholders to meet with corporate and academic partners, liaise with potential collaborators and connect the dots within and beyond the College, and follow up to ensure maximum opportunities to engage the stakeholders and actualise the different collaboration opportunities.Generate impactful outcomes in terms of industry collaborations, development strategies and alumni engagement.Draft speeches, strategy papers, communication materials, articles, etc., when required.Other corporate responsibilities as assigned from time to time.QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline from a recognised university.Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with a focus on business, education, or a related discipline.Have a strong command of both written and spoken English, and excellent interpersonal skills.Possess analytical and management skills, sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure.Ability to manage complexities and an unstructured but exciting role.Ability to work independently, engaging all levels of staff including the senior leadership of corporations.Comfortable being both hands-on and strategically supporting the College's research, innovation and enterprise, alumni and development initiatives.More InformationLocation: Kent Ridge CampusOrganization: College of Design and EngineeringDepartment: Dean's Office (College of Design & Eng)Employee Referral Eligible:Job requisition ID: 23224
