The NIC provides intelligence leadership and support to all of Police, and ensures national consistency in the processes, products and staffing of intelligence.
The NIC is made up of five workgroups (Collections, Analytics and Intelligence Operations, High Risk Targeting Team, Fusion Group and Capability and Innovation).In this role no day is the same and we are looking for someone who is adaptable with strong initiative and great people skills to support the work of the NIC.Key Accountabilities:Diary managementOffice managementSupporting project managementEvent managementHe aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bringStrong written and verbal communication skills.An ability to multi-task, work under pressure and respond quickly to changing priorities.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Excellent time management and planning ability.The ability to contribute to an inclusive and high performing team culture focused on exceptional service delivery.To be eligible for this position, you must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET national security clearance.The minimum criteria for this level of national security clearance is:NZ Citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 10 years, orA Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 10 years, orA citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.You may occasionally be required to work outside of set work hours and alternative locations for operational reasons.Please note, this role is a Locally Advertised Position (LAV) and is only open to applicants within Wellington District.This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is "to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business".Your development is highly valued at NZ Police.
