With a history of success and a proven track record manufacturing high-quality wood products, our Carter Holt Harvey (CHH) Kawerau team is looking for a talented finance professional to support our continued success. Our Kawerau saw milling operation has 180+ employees and has just completed a significant upgrade programme which demonstrates our commitment to the market. The site is led by an exceptional Site Manager driving a performance-based environment and is committed to the site's success. As the key financial person at the site, you will be predominantly hands-on to deliver to the site's needs, but you won't be on your own as you will have guidance from the Head Office finance team. This role plays an important part in the success of the site through managing and controlling the accounting and administrative functions which includes: Providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to enable quality decision making, and recommendations to improve operating efficiency and EBIT. Completing all month-end and other cyclical processes. Ensuring internal stock controls and management are in place, coordinating stock takes and reconciliation. Providing accurate product costing for accurate stock valuation. Providing financial coaching and guidance to other lead team members. Taking a leadership role in developing and maintaining a robust performance improvement programme. Coordinating the annual plan, ensuring its timely delivery. Management of a small team. Experience and qualifications that would support your success include: Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. Chartered Accountant. ERP system (we use SAP). Strong analytical skills. Ability to effectively influence across all levels. Manufacturing experience, preferably in a sawmill environment. Costing knowledge. This role will give you the scope to make it your own.
