We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our friendly Finance team based in our Te Aroha office. About the role Reporting to the Finance and Business Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive reporting, budgeting, and advisory services across the organisation.
You will drive and co-ordinate the preparation of Annual and Long Term Plan budgets and will be responsible for internal management reporting and forecasting.
This role works closely with staff across the organisation ensuring they are well supported to deliver on their business plans, and ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and reporting.
About you To really shine in this role you will need exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people with differing levels of financial knowledge and experience.
Your strength will be your ability to communicate effectively and explain complex information in a way that can be easily understood.
In addition to your excellent time management skills, you will also have strong computer skills (including experience in Power BI), have at least three years practical accounting experience, have a great sense of humour and thrive working in a team environment.
Experience with Authority software would be a bonus.
Ideally you will have a tertiary degree in Accounting and have prior experience working within a local government environment.
