Nearly 30 years after its initial creation, Fiordland Lobster Company remains an outstanding exporter of high-quality lobster.About the roleWe are looking for an energetic team member to join our head office in Te Anau. Supporting both our New Zealand and Australian operations, this role reports to the Chief Financial Officer, and works alongside both the finance and administration teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge. Duties will include:Month-end processing and management of accurate financial informationPreparation of monthly analysis reports for divisional managersPreparation and filing of statutory requirementsBalance sheet reconciliationsPreparation of statistical surveysFixed asset reportingAssist with annual budgets, annual consolidated financial statements and the annual external audit processSupporting the wider finance/admin team and provide back-up when requiredAbout youTo be considered for this role you will have:Strong Management accounting competencies, including technical and analytical skillsProven understanding of business budgeting and taxation requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a small team, with a focus on internal customer serviceOutstanding attention to detail, timeliness and accuracyProficiency in the Microsoft Suite, with a willingness to learn and administrate new systemsWhilst a qualified accountant would be preferred, we are also happy to hear from you if you have a strong accounting background in a similar setting.Ready to apply?Send us your CV and cover letter by clicking the apply now button.
