About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial in supporting the business by delivering accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders, both internal and external, to aid in key decision-making. The ideal candidate will contribute to the financial planning, reporting, and compliance processes that ensure the company meets its strategic goals.
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, managing capital expenditure, and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and guide the wider finance team and contribute to continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis: Produce month-end and year-end journals, as well as monthly group statutory and management accounts.
Prepare financial statements, including P&L, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
Undertake financial analysis and planning to support business profitability and growth.
Assist in the preparation of Annual Consolidated Financial Statements.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process.
Manage capital expenditure and ensure accurate forecasting.
Operational Efficiency: Review and improve accounting processes to ensure efficient financial operations.
Actively contribute to broader process improvement initiatives within the organization.
Cross-Functional Contribution: Participate in team activities, such as "Learning Mornings" and "Culture Days".
Collaborate with other departments and contribute to business and strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications/ Experience: CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification, or working towards qualification.
A relevant degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field is highly desirable.
Proven experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Experience working with external auditors and ensuring statutory compliance.
