The Findlay Group is a family-owned food manufacturing business in its fifth generation of management. The Group's Head Office is based in Gisborne and includes Key Account Management, Communications, Quality, Administration, Employee Relations, Finance, and Logistics.
This is an exciting time to join our team as Finance is embarking on a journey of process optimisation and improved reporting.
We are looking for a Management Accountant with a strong background in accounting or finance, including those who are qualified, part-qualified, or actively studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
You will have a minimum of 3 - 5 years accounting experience. This role will be hands-on, and you will work in collaboration with the CFO, Admin, and Finance teams to provide high-quality financial support and information.
You will build positive relationships and have excellent communication skills. We want you to be detail-oriented and have advanced Excel skills. Experience in manufacturing and familiarity with business intelligence tools are advantageous.

Responsibilities As part of the finance team, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Conducting scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing as needed.
Performing ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and inform business decisions, such as new product launches, capacity expansions, and capital investments.
Identifying opportunities for financial process improvement, automation, and cost reduction within manufacturing and head office finance operations.
Providing support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as required.
Assisting with special projects as needed.
Requirements and Skills Knowledge and Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in accounting.
Advanced level of ability in Excel.
Problem-solving ability.
Experience using business intelligence tools would be an advantage.
Experience in manufacturing would be an advantage.
Qualified/part-qualified CA or studying toward an accounting qualification (e.g., diploma, degree, CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) would be an advantage.
