We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Watch Centre Engineer with Boeing Jet experience to join our Maintenance Watch team. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our aircraft fleet.
Role Overview:
As an Aircraft Maintenance Watch Engineer at Airwork, you will be part of an active Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) team. You will be responsible for providing essential technical support to our Line Engineers, facilitating regulatory reporting, and acting as a point of contact for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) defect recovery events. You will collaborate closely with various departments to maintain the highest standards of airworthiness and operational excellence. This role operates on a shift basis with some weekend and night work required.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Offer technical guidance and support to Line Engineers when addressing complex or persistent aircraft defects, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate data and documentation for regulatory reporting requirements, including CAANZ Part 12 and occurrence reports, to maintain compliance and transparency.
AOG Defect Recovery: Serve as the primary point of contact for Airwork during AOG defect recovery events, providing guidance and direction for aircraft recovery and rectification, including troubleshooting assistance.
Network Stability: Keep the Manager CAMO, Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator, and Operations Control Centre informed of any risks to network stability arising from aircraft technical issues.
Flight Operations Support: Advise Flight Operations of Deferred Defect Permitted Ground (DDPG) and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items that impose restrictions on aircraft operation. Ensure timely planning for DDPG and deferred maintenance rectification.
Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) performance indicators and recommend remedial actions as necessary. Provide daily operational fleet status updates during operational meetings.
Delay Tracking: Record and analyze all delays attributed to engineering/technical issues for reporting purposes to the CAMO. Ensure accurate documentation of all engineering delays.
Airworthiness Reporting: Keep the CAM advised of the airworthiness status of the aircraft fleet through daily reporting, ensuring transparency and compliance.
Maintenance Watch: Perform all duties in accordance with the standards defined in the Maintenance Watch process manuals to uphold operational excellence.
You should have:
Hold or have held in the past, relevant maintenance approvals on B737 or similar commercial jet aircraft.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with capability to take ownership of problems and drive their solutions to completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Meticulous attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with aviation maintenance software systems is a plus.
