We are looking for experienced Maintenance Technician to join our business, Extrastaff Limited. Our growing business requires organised and trustworthy individuals who pride themselves on quality
workmanship. You must be motivated and result driven.
You might be asked to work across the country to assist our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the full range of tasks:
Ensure the general running, servicing and repair of Plant and Machinery and participate in the maintenance and operation of the site.
Perform diagnostic tests and root cause analysis to identify problems with machinery or equipment.
Disassemble machinery or equipment when there is a problem, then repair or replace any broken or malfunctioning parts.
Test the machine or run an initial batch to ensure that the machine is running properly.
Assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
Adjust and calibrate equipment or machinery as per specifications.
Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery, planned to ensure minimal disruption of processes.
Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to minimize unexpected issues with equipment.
Respond to alerts and carry out corrective procedures and repairs in line with SOPs and maintenance protocols.
Keep all documentation of both routine checks and repairs up-to-date and in line with both internal and external procedures.
Maintain logs of any downtime within the manufacturing system.
May be involved in the training of production staff on routine maintenance procedures.
May also be required to keep a stock of spare parts, ordering and replacing as necessary.
Perform any other tasks that are reasonably required by the employer at any time.
Focus on the health and safety of self and all employees on site.
Skills and Experience Required:
Preferably 1+ years experience in relevant occupation OR relevant qualification, but not compulsory. We accept candidates with minimal industrial experience who are willing to learn.
Friendly, with good time management, and excellent work ethic are essential.
Time management skills.
A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry.
Sound knowledge of H and S procedures.
Reliable and hardworking.
Pay Conditions:
Min $26.69 per hour to a maximum of $32 per hour.
Hours of Work:
Minimum 30 hours of work is guaranteed.
Location:
You may be required to work in Wellington.
This role will be a permanent and full-time job.
