Maintenance Technician – Registered Electrician

Our Maintenance team is a key factor in ensuring guests have a comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring the unique outdoor environment, or to simply relax in a peaceful and beautiful part of the world.
We have over 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex along with more than 150 staff accommodation rooms.The Hermitage Hotel is currently seeking a NZ Registered Electrician to join our expanding team.
Electricians are a key role within our maintenance team and will perform highly skilled maintenance, installation, and repairs of various electrical systems.Components of the role:Adhere to all H&S regulations and practice safe workingTroubleshoot and resolve issues on the job quickly, efficiently, and effectivelyInterpret and understand plans, drawings, and specificationsEnsure all electrical safety tests are conducted and completed to NZ Electrical Board requirementsCarrying out any other general maintenance duties as directed, which can range from general carpentry and painting tasks to basic plumbing and machinery repairsJoining an on-call rosterOperating and maintaining all tools and machinery as outlined in department SOPsPlanning and prioritising jobs to ensure time limits are metRequirements for the role:Must be a NZ Registered Electrician, holding a current practicing licenceHold a current manual NZ driving licenceMust possess demonstrated, practical experience as an ElectricianHave experience in either commercial, domestic or industrial sectorsHave a strong attention to detail and high level of workmanshipBe able to work within a team and unsupervised, and perform multiple tasks, ensuring this is all completed within the company's Health and Safety requirementsHave the ability to work closely with a diverse range of people as well as being able to build and maintain relationships at all levels, both internally and externallyA strong desire to strive for excellenceA can-do attitude and a willingness to learnFriendly, outgoing, and professional, with excellent communication skillsWhat we can provide:Accommodation, including Wi-Fi and powerFree access to all activities offered by the Hermitage Hotel, along with generous discounts on food and beverage, available from your first day on the jobDiscounted hotel accommodation for friends and familyStunning surroundings and unparalleled views – a short and remarkable commute to workFurther Information:This is a full-time permanent positionDue to the remote nature of our location, own transport is encouragedPlease contact us at ****** if you require more information before applyingSo if this sounds like you, apply now and start the experience of a lifetime today.
