Utilise your trade in the tourism industry! As a Maintenance Technician at RealNZ, you'll have the opportunity to take on a diverse range of tasks, from general handyman duties to monitoring engineering risks across our unique assets.We're looking for a trade-qualified professional to carry out maintenance activities on our vessels and facilities. In this role, you'll be involved in everything from hands-on maintenance work to supporting engineering research and mentoring Labourers and Apprentices. If you consider yourself the ultimate handy person who can tackle any job, you'll thrive here. We provide training for specific tasks unique to the stunning locations where we operate.This is a permanent, full-time position based in Te Anau, with travel required to some of New Zealand's most beautiful spots, including Milford Sound, Rakiura, and Walter Peak.In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance work in line with our Standard Operating Procedures and industry best practices, ensuring that all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. You will also identify and rectify any defects or deficiencies in equipment to maintain operational standards. Additionally, you'll conduct independent engineering research to support various maintenance and project tasks, while also providing guidance and direction to Labourers and Apprentices to help them develop their skills.What We're Looking For:At least 3 years of experience working with heavy equipment.Conscientious and knowledgeable in performing safe and efficient repairs and preventive maintenance.Strong ability to keep accurate records.Leadership skills with the ability to mentor a team.Self-motivated and capable of working independently.A valid New Zealand driver's license.What We Offer:Join a progressive company where you'll work with a wide variety of assets.
