Job Description Our Ambassador will be: Assisting the Maintenance Manager to maintain, using safe working practices, the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings to protect the asset and ensure it remains a functional, pleasant and safe environment for all guests, contractors, visitors and other employees. Assisting the Maintenance Manager in the day to day operation of the maintenance requirements of the hotel including, pool, spa and water feature pump and motors, automatic chemical dispensers, VSD motors and control, Saflok electronic door lock, storm water and sewerage pump and controls, chillers and air handling units and controls, and Movielink system. Complete daily plant rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation to ensure acceptable availability and reliability. Assist in the keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment on complete Completing daily rounds sign off any relevant section of the Maintenance Manuals.
Liaise with the Maintenance Manager regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back to use as soon as possible. Complete all tasks where possible within a 15 minutes time frame of receiving the request Report back to the Manager on Duty or Front Office the completion or delay, of any task that is guest related.
Suggest any improvements that could be made to improve existing service or procedures, log and inform the Department Manager of any service or system problems. Qualifications At least 1 years experience in Maintenance or similar industry; ideally in hotel/tourism industry however, not required.
