You'll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, implement proactive solutions, and elevate operational performance.About the Role:As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all equipment and facilities run at peak efficiency while fostering a safe and productive work environment. On a day-to-day basis, you will:Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair farm equipment and facilitiesDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedulesLead and train a team of 2 maintenance staff and 4 sanitary crew membersManage maintenance budgets and control expensesRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and facility issuesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular inspectionsCollaborate with other departments to align maintenance activities with farm operationsMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performanceThe ideal Maintenance Supervisor:You are a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for continuous improvement in a safe and efficient work environment. You will also tick the below boxes:Certified New Zealand electrician (essential)Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in an agricultural or poultry environmentStrong technical knowledge of equipment maintenance and facility management.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficient in budgeting, cost management, and resource optimisation.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the agricultural industry.Proficient in Microsoft Office.
