Job Description
AFFCO Wairoa currently has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Planner to join their engineering team. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Planner will monitor general maintenance for all departments, coordinate contractors, source quotes for projects, monitor the R&M log controls, and liaise with Supervisors to ensure that production requirements are met.
Responsibilities include:
Planning all R&M jobs and ensuring appropriate parts are available
Purchase order completion for the trades department
Contractor Management, ensuring all liability agreements and insurance details are kept up to date
Manage electrical and mechanical inventory ensuring stock levels are maintained
Invoice/packing slip/PO reconciliation for payment
Ordering all parts
Oversee and manage compliance register and installation of MEX completed for the Trades Department
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
Strong leadership skills, ability to build an engaged team and effectively delegate tasks
Ability to minimise production downtime
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Extensive prior maintenance experience in an industrial environment
A mechanical trade qualification (electrical knowledge would be an advantage)
Comfortable working with modern CMMS systems
Previous experience with MEX would be an advantage
Intermediate computer literacy
